The short version

• Files you convert are processed inside your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. We cannot see them.
• We do not require an account and do not collect names, email addresses, or payment details.
• Adsterra ads are never shown in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, are switched off when your browser sends Global Privacy Control, and can be turned off on this page.
• The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense and Adsterra. Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time using the Privacy settings link in the footer.
• Amba's Tools sets no cookies of its own. Visits are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and builds no profile of you. Your settings and progress are kept in your browser, on your device.

Your files

Every converter on Amba's Tools runs locally using WebAssembly. When you select a file, it is read by your browser, processed on your device, and the result is offered for download from your device's memory. No file data, file names, or metadata are transmitted to Amba's Tools. So that going back to a tool does not mean starting over, a tool page keeps its files and results in your browser's own storage, on your device, for up to a day; the Clear button on the page removes them at once, and clearing site data in your browser removes everything.

If you paste a link instead of choosing a file, your browser fetches that link directly from the site hosting it. That site sees the request (including your IP address) exactly as if you had opened the link yourself; we do not see it and do not proxy it.

What the site keeps on your device

Browser storage on your own device holds the things that would otherwise be lost between visits: your light or dark choice, the options you last used on a tool, the tools you opened recently, your progress and saved code in the lessons, and the files and results on a tool page (see above). None of it is sent anywhere, none of it identifies you, and clearing site data in your browser removes all of it.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records basic technical information in server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to keep the service secure and available. Cloudflare Web Analytics, where enabled, gives us aggregate statistics (page views, countries, referrers) without cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking. We do not use this information to identify individuals.

Advertising and consent

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites and to measure ad performance. How Google uses data from sites that use its services is explained atHow Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: before any advertising cookies are set, you are shown a consent message provided by Google's certified consent management platform, which follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. It lists the advertising vendors and purposes, and lets you accept, decline, or customize. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using thePrivacy settings link in the footer of every page.

United States: some state laws (including California's CCPA/CPRA) give you the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise that right at any time through theDo Not Sell or Share My Personal Informationlink in the footer, which opens Google's opt-out control. Google's control covers Google; for Adsterra, use the switch in the Adsterra section below. A browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an opt-out by both: Google's systems honor it, and this site does not load Adsterra at all for that browser.

Everywhere else: you can opt out of personalized advertising by Google atGoogle Ads Settings, and from many other advertising companies at aboutads.info (US) oryouronlinechoices.eu (Europe). Google's use of advertising cookies is described in the Google advertising policies.

Advertising from Adsterra

Some ad spaces are filled by Adsterra. When they load, Adsterra receives technical and usage information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, time zone and approximate location, the page you are on, and how you interact with the ad, and it uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, count them, and prevent fraud. Adsterra describes this in itsprivacy policy and itscookie policy; requests about your data held by Adsterra go to the contact address given there.

Adsterra is not part of the consent framework behind the consent message above, so it cannot be offered there. Instead, this site does not load Adsterra at all for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland (judged by the time zone your device reports), for browsers that send Global Privacy Control, or once you turn it off here. Turning it off is stored in your browser, so it applies to this browser only.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to keep; browser storage (local storage and IndexedDB) does the same job without being sent back with every request. This is everything that can end up on your device from this site, by who puts it there.

• Amba's Tools itself sets no cookies. It keeps your preferences and work in browser storage, as described under what the site keeps on your device: never sent anywhere, and cleared when you clear site data.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set strictly necessary security cookies to tell people from automated abuse. Its Web Analytics, which counts visits for us, uses no cookies.
• Google may set advertising cookies to serve and measure ads, and to personalize them where you allow it. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland it asks first through the consent message, and you can change your answer with Privacy settings.
• Adsterra may set cookies, kept for up to a year by its own account, to serve and count ads and prevent fraud. It is never loaded in the regions above, for browsers sending Global Privacy Control, or after you turn it off in the Adsterra section.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. The tools keep working without any of them; only the ads and your saved preferences depend on them.

Email

If you email us at help@amba.tools, the message is forwarded to our mailbox through Cloudflare Email Routing. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to answer you and do not add your address to any list.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal information. The only companies that process data on our behalf are Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, email forwarding, analytics), Google (advertising, under your consent choices), and Adsterra (advertising). All of them may process data on servers outside your country; they do so under their own privacy commitments and, for European data, standard contractual safeguards.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data about you, to restrict or object to its processing, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we hold no account data and no files, in practice such requests concern our advertising and analytics partners, and the consent controls above are the fastest way to exercise them. For anything else, contact us at help@amba.tools and we will help; we will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country) and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because the Minecraft and game-making tools are popular with younger people, those pages carry no advertising of any kind: no ad units and no ad network scripts, so no advertising cookies are set there.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
