Terms of Use

By using Amba's Tools you agree to these terms. They are short because the service is simple.

The service

Amba's Tools provides free tools that convert and edit media files inside your web browser. The tools are provided free of charge and supported by advertising. We may change, add, or remove tools at any time.

Your content

You keep all rights to the files you process. Because files never leave your device, we never receive, store, or claim any interest in them. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to convert or edit any file you use with the service, and for complying with the laws that apply to you.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to infringe anyone's rights, to distribute malware, or to interfere with the site's operation, for example by automated scraping or by circumventing the advertising that funds it.

Advertising

The service is funded by ads supplied by third parties, currently Google and Adsterra. We do not choose individual ads, do not endorse what they advertise, and are not responsible for the sites they lead to, which have their own terms and privacy practices. Do not click ads you are not interested in, or generate impressions or clicks artificially by any means; that is fraud against the advertiser and gets the site removed from the networks. How ads use your data is covered in the privacy policy, including how to turn them off.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Conversions are performed by open-source software in your browser and may occasionally fail or produce imperfect results. Always keep your original files.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amba's Tools is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero.

Open-source acknowledgments

The tools run on other people's work. The converters use FFmpeg(through ffmpeg.wasm, LGPL/GPL), libheif(LGPL-3.0), jSquash (Apache-2.0),pdf-lib andpdf.js,Tesseract,ONNX Runtime withU²-Net andWhisper for background removal and speech, and the Rust image crate andvisioncortex for GIFs, textures, and image tracing. The lessons run Pyodide (MPL-2.0),sql.js, andteavm-javac, which is Apache-2.0 and contains OpenJDK components under GPL-2.0 with the Classpath Exception; its notice is served at/java/NOTICE.txt. Headings usePixelify Sans under theSIL Open Font License. Each project publishes its own source; for the builds served here, write to help@amba.tools and we will point you at the exact version or send it to you.

Trademarks

Product names are used only to say what a tool is for. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB; Discord, Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Steam are trademarks of their respective owners. Amba's Tools is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them, and ships none of their assets.
