About this tool
Every upload form has a limit and none of them tell you which compression setting gets you under it. Choose the size you need and the encoder plans the bitrate from the video length, downscaling automatically when a long video has to fit in a small budget. If the first encode is over, it tightens the budget and runs again.
Useful for WhatsApp and Telegram limits, forum attachments, learning platforms, job application portals, and anything else that rejects large files. Everything runs locally in your browser, so the original never leaves your device.
How to use it
- Drop your MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV file into the box above, or click to browse. Nothing is uploaded.
- Adjust the options if you want; the defaults suit most files.

Questions
How does it hit the size exactly?
It reads the video length, works out the bitrate that fits the budget with a small safety margin, encodes, and if the result still overshoots it lowers the bitrate and encodes again, up to three passes.
Will the quality be bad?
That depends on length: a 30 second clip at 10 MB looks fine at 720p, a 10 minute recording at 10 MB has to drop to 360p and will look soft. Trim the video first if you only need part of it.
Why is the output MP4?
MP4 with H.264 and AAC is what Discord, email clients, and phones play without fuss and what compresses most predictably.
Is it free, are files uploaded, which browsers work: the general questions are answered once for the whole site.
