Pick a start point and a length, choose the size and frame rate, and the converter turns that slice of your video into a looping GIF. It generates an optimized color palette from the actual frames before encoding, so colors stay accurate and banding is minimal, which is a big step up from the default "quick and dirty" GIF export most apps produce.
A few rules of thumb: GIF file size grows with width, frame rate, and length, so 480 px wide at 12 fps for 5-8 seconds gives a crisp, shareable result that is usually under 5 MB. For reaction GIFs and memes, 320 px at 10 fps is plenty. If you need a small file for a chat app, drop the color count to 128.
