About this tool
Crop one photo or a whole batch to the shape a platform wants: square for profile pictures, 4:5 for portrait posts, 9:16 for stories and vertical video thumbnails, 16:9 for banners, or an exact pixel size. The crop is centred by default, or anchored to an edge so headroom or a caption strip survives.
Because it runs locally, cropping a hundred photos takes seconds and none of them are uploaded. The output keeps the original format and quality, with transparency intact for PNG and WebP.
Everything happens inside your browser. Your file is never uploaded to a server: the conversion runs on your own device using WebAssembly, and the result is downloaded straight from memory. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.

Frequently asked questions
Can I drag to choose the crop area?
Not yet; the crop is positioned by the Keep setting (centre or an edge). An interactive cropper is planned.
What size is a square Instagram post?
1080 × 1080 pixels. Crop to square here, then use Resize to 1080 if the source is larger.
Is this really free?
Yes. The site is supported by ads, and there are no limits on how many files you convert.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The converter runs entirely in your browser. Files stay on your device, which also makes it faster than upload-based converters for anything larger than a few megabytes.
Is there a file size limit?
The only limit is your device's memory. Images and audio of any normal size are fine; for video, files under about 500 MB work well on most laptops and phones.
Which browsers are supported?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile. Very old browsers without WebAssembly support will not work.
