0 gives a hard cut, 100 keeps the raw soft mask (good for hair).

Runs on a U2-Net neural network in ONNX Runtime, in WebAssembly. Your file stays in this tab.

About this tool

Drop a photo and the subject is cut out automatically: a U²-Net salient-object network runs inside your browser with ONNX Runtime, so the picture never leaves your device and there are no credits, watermarks, or sign-ups. Choose a transparent PNG for design work, or a white, black, or custom background for product listings and profile pictures. Batch mode handles a folder of shots with the same settings.

Two models are offered: the fast one downloads 5 MB and finishes in a second or two on a laptop; the best one downloads 44 MB and gives cleaner edges around hair and thin objects. Both are cached after the first use, and work offline afterwards. Adjust edge softness if the cut looks too hard or too fuzzy.

How to use it

  1. Drop your JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC files into the box above, or click to browse. Nothing is uploaded.
  2. Adjust the options if you want; the defaults suit most files.
  3. Click the button and wait a moment.
  4. Download the results individually or all at once as a ZIP.

Questions

How good is it compared with paid removers?

For clear subjects (people, products, pets, cars on a plain or busy background) the result is comparable. Fine hair, glass, and thin fences are where the biggest paid services still do better. Try the Best model and adjust edge softness before giving up on a picture.

Why is the first run slow?

The model and the runtime download once (5 or 44 MB plus about 10 MB of runtime) and are cached. Later runs skip that and take one to a few seconds depending on the model and your device.

Is the image sent to a server?

No. The neural network runs in WebAssembly in your tab; you can verify in the browser's network panel that only the model file is downloaded.

Is it free, are files uploaded, which browsers work: the general questions are answered once for the whole site.
