About this tool

Twitch wants every emote uploaded at three sizes, 28 × 28, 56 × 56, and 112 × 112 pixels, as PNGs with transparent backgrounds under 1 MB each. Drop your artwork once and download all three, generated from the full-resolution original so each size is scaled cleanly rather than from a smaller copy. Multiple emotes can be processed in one batch and downloaded as a ZIP.

Use crisp scaling for pixel-art emotes so the pixels stay sharp at 28 × 28, and smooth scaling for drawn or photographic ones. Fit keeps the whole image with transparent padding, which is what emotes usually need.

How to use it

  1. Drop your PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF files into the box above, or click to browse. Nothing is uploaded.
  2. Adjust the options if you want; the defaults suit most files.
  3. Click the button and wait a moment.
  4. Download the results individually or all at once as a ZIP.

Questions

Does Twitch still need three sizes?

Twitch can auto-generate the smaller sizes from a 112 × 112 upload, but uploading all three lets you control how the small versions look. This tool gives you both options.

What about sub badges?

Sub badges use 18 × 18, 36 × 36, and 72 × 72. Use the App Icon Resizer tool with those sizes, or resize the 112 emote with Resize Image.

Fill or fit?

Fill crops the edges so the image covers the whole frame, which is right for photos. Fit keeps the whole image and pads the rest, which is right for logos and text.

Can I batch resize?

Yes. Drop several images and each is resized to the selected preset; download them one by one or as a ZIP.

Does it keep transparency?

PNG output keeps transparent areas; JPG output fills them with white. Pick the format that the platform accepts.
