About this tool
Drag a box over the first frame of the GIF and every frame is cut to that area, keeping the timing and the loop. Lock the box to a square for profile animations and emoji, to 9:16 for stories, or to 16:9 for banners, or leave it free to trim away a watermark, a border, or dead space around the action.
Cropping makes GIFs smaller as well as tidier: fewer pixels per frame means a smaller file, so it pairs well with Compress GIF and Resize GIF.
How to use it

Questions
Does cropping change the animation speed?
No. Frame delays and looping are kept exactly; only the picture area changes.
Why did the colors shift slightly?
The cropped frames are re-encoded with a new global palette. On most GIFs this is invisible; on very colorful ones a slight change can occur.
