Photos remember where they were taken. Post one from your phone and, unless the site strips it, anyone can read the GPS coordinates of your home, along with your camera model and the software you edited with. This tool removes all of that: EXIF, XMP, IPTC, comments, and embedded thumbnails.
For JPG, PNG, and WebP the metadata segments are cut out of the file directly, so the image pixels are untouched and the quality is exactly the same. HEIC and other formats are re-saved as a clean JPG or PNG. Drop in a whole folder and download the cleaned copies as a ZIP.

Questions
Does removing EXIF reduce image quality?
No for JPG, PNG, and WebP: only the metadata is removed, byte for byte. HEIC and other formats are converted, which involves one high-quality re-encode.
Will the photo still display correctly?
Yes. Orientation stored in EXIF is applied before removal where needed, so photos are not rotated by mistake.
Do social networks strip EXIF anyway?
Most large ones do, but forums, email, cloud shares, and many smaller sites do not. Cleaning the file first means you never have to wonder.
Is it free, are files uploaded, which browsers work: the general questions are answered once for the whole site.
